Executive Housekeeper
This challenging position has overall responsibility for managing the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department; plan, schedule, and organize work to ensure proper coverage. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures. Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
- Develop and implement procedures for managing quality of housekeeping and laundry services. Control expenses within all areas of housekeeping.
- Conduct pre-shift meeting and review all information pertinent to the day's activities.
- Establish par levels for supplies and equipment. Replenish shortages and other business supplies for daily business.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during unanticipated rush periods.
- May assist in light maintenance, for example, changing light bulbs
- May serve as "manager on duty" as required.
Job Requirements: Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years housekeeping/laundry experience, preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity, including one or more years of supervisory experience. Some college preferred.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 200 pounds
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling.
Guest Services Manager
The position is responsible for:
- The Guest experience at check-in and check-out.
- Staff training in front office procedures including guest service.
- Contribution and execution of revenue management strategies
- All administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel as it relates to the Front Office.
He/she is also responsible for:
- Responding to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents presented to the Front Desk
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Guest Service employees
- Maximize room revenue and occupancy daily
- Ensure no-show revenue is maximized
- Ensure staff greet and welcome guests approaching the Front Desk
- Check guests in/out hotel as necessary
- Review and complete payroll for Front Office staff
- Monitor selling status of house daily
- Ensure that employees are at all times attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees
- Follow and enforce all Hotel credit policies
- Ensure correct and accurate cash handling at the Front Desk
- Monitor out of order/service and show rooms
- Understand and implement rooms merchandising
- Monitor all VIP's and special requests
- Other duties as required not listed above Job Requirements: We require the evidence of strong leadership skills in a diverse and seasonal setting with a minimum of 5 years hotel/resort front office experience.
Knowledge and skills in front office operations including reservations, guest service and revenue management.

Room Attendant
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Unload and load housekeeping carts with supplies.
- Clean the Hotel guest rooms and bathrooms as directed by Executive Housekeeper.
- Change linen and towels in guest rooms.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel public areas.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
- Ability to perform lightweight housecleaning: mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing.
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 200 pounds
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling.
Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible primarily for general maintenance, repairs in guest suites, and all areas of the resort as directed by Chief Engineer. Guest suites and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. The Maintenance Technician will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills. The Maintenance Technician will maintain all fixtures and equipment according to preventive maintenance schedule, and records such maintenance in log book. A minimum of one year building maintenance experience is required, with hotel experience preferred. Good customer skills are also required.
Management
Intern
Rotational supervisory position
through all departments within the
hotel. During the employment period,
interns will have the opportunity
to complete the Certified Hospitality
Supervisor 10-week program, accredited
through the American Hotel &
Motel Association.
Candidates should either be enrolled
in or have completed college-level
hospitality management courses.
Prior hotel experience, working
knowledge of Windows-based computer
software, and cash handling proficiency
is required. Preference will be
given to applicants who are available
to work the full season (May - October).
Front
Office Staff
Combined position encompassing Reservations,
Front Desk, Switchboard Operator
and Concierge.
Successful candidates will possess
an outgoing personality and strong
verbal communication skills. Experience
in the hospitality industry is preferred,
but not necessary. Working knowledge
of Windows-based computer software
is required. Preference will be
given to applicants who are available
to work the full season (May - October).
Night
Auditor
Third shift Front Office Representative.
The Night Auditor is responsible
for balancing daily charges and
receipts and preparing various reports
for management.
Successful
candidates will possess an outgoing
personality and strong verbal communication
skills. Experience in the hospitality
industry is preferred, but not necessary.
Working knowledge of Windows-based
computer software is required. Preference
will be given to individuals versed
in accounting principles.
Dock
Porter
Responsible for greeting
guests upon their arrival on the
island and assisting them with luggage
and transportation needs. Heavy
lifting is required.
Successful
candidates will be physically fit
and able to lift 50 lbs. or more
with little effort. Outgoing individuals
with strong verbal communication
skills and organizational skills
are preferred. Preference will be
given to applicants who are available
to work the full season (May - October).
